Vice President, Acquisitions & Development

Dallas, TX

JOB DESCRIPTION

Company Overview:
Our client is a family-backed, evergreen investment firm with a strong transatlantic presence, actively deploying capital across both private equity and real estate in the United States and Europe. Founded in 2006, the firm has grown into a multidisciplinary platform with over 40 professionals operating across multiple asset classes. Our client currently manages more than $3.5 billion in assets.

Its core investment strategies span real estate, private equity, and public equities across both U.S. and European markets. Within real estate specifically, the firm has built a portfolio exceeding $2 billion in AUM across approximately 30 projects, with a strong footprint in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, and Poland, while historically investing in the United States through select limited partner investments. As part of its broader US real estate expansion strategy, the firm is now looking to build a US-based team to expand into a larger, more dynamic investment and development firm that is covering multiple markets and asset classes.

The US real estate platform is pursuing an opportunistic investment strategy targeting returns above 20% IRR, with a particular focus on value-add and development opportunities, especially within the industrial and multifamily sectors. The firm has allocated over + $300 million in dry powder toward U.S. real estate equity (+$1.25 billion total capitalization) which it plans to deploy through direct investments and strategic partnerships in the coming years.

Position Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Associate (3–5 years of experience) or Vice President (6–8 years of experience), depending on prior role and responsibilities, to join its U.S. Real Estate team in Dallas, TX. This represents a key early hire for a high-growth, well-capitalized platform as it continues to expand its U.S. investment presence.

This individual will work closely with the President of U.S. Real Estate to help build a vertically integrated investment and development business. The role is based at the Dallas headquarters and will focus primarily on industrial acquisitions, asset management, and development (with additional exposure to multifamily investments). Target markets include Texas, the broader Southeast, and Mountain West. Over +$300 million of equity capacity is currently available for direct investments, co-GP structures, and strategic joint ventures.

Compensation includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience, an annual performance-based bonus, the opportunity to co-invest alongside the firm, and a highly entrepreneurial culture that emphasizes ownership and initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and structure acquisitions and development opportunities via proprietary channels, broker networks, and relationships
  • Underwrite opportunities and build detailed financial models in Excel and Argus Enterprise, with an emphasis on leveraging AI
  • Lead transactions end-to-end: screening, diligence, LOI, financing, closing, and integration
  • Spearhead industrial asset management (including leasing, CapEx, and vendor oversight), and development
  • Prepare and present investment memos and performance reports to the Investment Committee and senior leadership
  • Cultivate deep relationships with brokers, lenders, property managers, potential partners and counterparties
  • Leverage AI tools to drive efficiency in underwriting, analysis, and reporting

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in real estate acquisitions and development (primarily industrial; multifamily experience preferred as well)
  • Strong track record sourcing, executing, and managing value-add and / or development deals in institutional settings
  • Deep network of brokers, lenders, property managers, and vendors across Dallas and Atlanta (primary markets), and the Texas / Southeastern markets more broadly
  • Advanced financial modeling; proficiency in Excel and Argus Enterprise with strong ability to integrate AI into workflows
  • Strong communicator and effective presenter to institutional capital and senior leadership
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth setting with significant autonomy
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, or Business; MBA preferred
