Position Description:
A Senior Associate / Vice President on the Capital Markets team will play a central role in structuring, executing, and optimizing financing solutions across the firm’s investment lifecycle. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, deep knowledge of credit markets, and the ability to build trusted relationships with deal teams, portfolio company leadership, global financing partners, and external advisors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Financing Strategy & Support
- Lead aspects of debt financing for new investments, refinancings, dividend recaps, and add‑on acquisitions
- Coordinate with deal teams to assess capital needs and financing feasibility during underwriting
- Manage lender processes end‑to‑end, including outreach, RFP processes, diligence coordination, and documentation
- Oversee credit workstreams, including lender Q&A, ratings analysis, and syndication strategy
- Support treasury management and interest rate risk management
- Monitor covenant compliance and credit performance
- On the portfolio company side, assist in advising portfolio company CFOs and finance teams on capital structure optimization, refinancing opportunities, and liability management
Market Intelligence & Relationship Management
- Coordinate and maintain dialogue with lenders / investors, advisors, rating agencies, and other external parties
- Track market trends, pricing, leverage levels, and terms across construction / development facilities and stabilized financings in private credit, high‑yield bonds, and structured solutions (ABS, CMBS, IG / HY Bonds, CTL, etc.)
Internal Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with investment team throughout the deal lifecycle
- Prepare financing materials for IC memos, board meetings, and lender presentations
- Work with legal teams to negotiate credit documentation and ensure alignment with investment objectives
- Mentor junior team members, facilitate training, and contribute to the development of best practices across financing cycle
Qualifications:
- 5–7+ years of experience in leveraged finance, capital markets, private credit, or investment banking
- Deep understanding of debt products, credit underwriting, and global financing markets
- Exceptional financial modeling and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight timelines
- Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with senior stakeholders internally and externally
