Firm Overview:
Our client is a European based Hotel Investment Firm seeking a full-time Senior Analyst or Associate to assist with asset management of their US and Caribbean hospitality portfolio based in New York City.

 

The firm has a long track record of Hotel Investing in Europe and has built a 20+ US and Caribbean hotel portfolio with the goal of continuing to expand within the region. The firm owns and manages over 120 hotels worldwide spanning the UK, Continental Europe, the US, and the Caribbean.

 

This position will report to the Vice President of Asset Management. The Senior Analyst or Associate’s primary responsibilities are to analyze and provide support on a variety of asset and project management tasks throughout the portfolio. The Senior Analyst or Associate will play a fundamental role on the asset management team in a high-volume, fast-paced, and team-driven environment. This position will help to evaluate investment opportunities, analyze portfolio performance, and drive value throughout the life cycle of each investment.

 

Job Description:
·        Perform financial analyses on the portfolio operations, including creation of cash flow, hold/sell and distribution models.

·        Update quarterly models for all portfolios. This includes inputting actual performance, cash position and updating future projections.

·        Monitor and track key performance metrics across assets on a weekly and monthly basis.

·        Attend regular calls with operating partners.

·        Review and analyze monthly financial packages including financial and capital planning and ROI analysis and highlighting issues.

·        Track portfolio performance utilizing this as a benchmark for potential acquisitions.

·        Assist the Project Management / Capex teams to track and manage capital expenditures and unit renovation programs.

·        Monitor renovation premiums and achievement of acquisition business plan.

·        Assist in investor and asset management reporting.

·        Interact with senior investment professionals; collaborate with the acquisition, asset management team and outside partners.

·        Assist team members in preparing and writing presentation materials, term sheets and other documents associated with the firm’s ownership activities.

·        Team is based in New York City and the firm will require office attendance Monday – Thursday (subject to change); site visits may be required.

Experience and Education Requirements:
·        Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance, Economics or Business Administration preferred.

·        Candidates must have excellent analytical skills and be highly proficient in Excel modeling.

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in real estate investment or finance, preferably with hospitality exposure.

·        Must have excellent research, analytical, organization and writing skills.

·        Must be self-motivated, a critical thinker, enthusiastic, inquisitive and detail-oriented.

·        Ability to work in a team environment.

·        Strong attention to detail.

·        Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office with a focus in Excel and PowerPoint.
