Position Overview:
Under direction of the Vice President and Project Manager’s of Capital Improvements, Capital Improvement Assistant Project Manager / Project Manager duties include:
· Assist in preparation of bid packages for selected trades including writing detailed scopes of work.
· Obtain and analyze bids and prepare bid comparison sheets to confirm that bids meet all of the scope requirements
· Distribute drawings and revisions to appropriate trades
· Manage the shop drawing process including review, tracking, expediting, and distribution
· Participate in project trade coordination and attend MEP coordination meetings
· Assist in the development of site logistic plans and site safety plans
· Prepare and update project schedules
· Update project budget
· Prepare various cost estimates
· Review and process Change Order requests
· Review and process subcontractor monthly payment requisitions
· Expedite material and equipment deliveries
· Collect required documents for permit approvals and DOB sign-offs
· Inspect jobsite progress
· Project duties include Local Law 11/FISP, roofing, facades, lobby, corridor, and amenity space renovations, MEP upgrades, etc.
Experience and Education Requirements:
· 2 to 7 years construction management/engineering experience. NYC commercial/residential work preferred.
· Engineering or architectural degree preferred
· EIT preferred
· Must have experience with Local Law 11
